  • Does this work need municipal building plans, and who is responsible for getting them approved — you or me?
  • Is the quote fixed, or are materials billed as they are bought? How are price increases and changes to the plan handled?
  • What is the payment schedule? Tie each payment to a finished stage of work rather than paying a large deposit up front.
